Rich ContrastsImages that have been printed using the Chromaluxe process are rich in tonal contrasts and enhance either black and white or color images with a deep 3-D appearance we find are especially suited for our automotive art series.
In our last Blog Post, we talked about the process we go through to obtain the perfect images for our clients rides.  But once our client chooses the image they want printed on aluminum, what happens next you ask?

We chose a commercial printer for our final product based not only on their professionalism and attention to detail but, we chose them because they utilize the industry standard ChromaLuxe ® Aluminum process which results in the sharpest and most color-rich images in the industry.

The process uses a  high definition sublimation of the photo image we send them.  These images are embedded via heat and pressure, into coating of 1.14mm silver based, brushed aluminum with a multi-layer polymer finish over specialized coating providing a 3D depth of image unmatched in today’s photo industry

Not only are the prints awesome but they provide nearly a lifetime (60+years) of resistance to all fading, moisture, cleaning chemicals (all ammonia based, bleach, acetone or any all purpose cleaners).

Computer monitors do not do justice in representing the final product in our Automotive Art series, so the best solution is to examine these prints for yourself.  To do that, just contact us via comments to this Blog Post, email us at [email protected] or call 937.829.7564 to schedule a consultation.  You can find us on facebook or check out our website SnSFineArt.com/hotrods for great examples of our past work.

The Magic Behind Our Automotive Art

Camera StudyIt all starts with a camera study. Varying angles are considered and special attention is given to each vehicle with respect to focus, exposure and depth of field. Our art is totally dependent on getting it right! SnS Fine Art - The Magic Behind Our Automotive Art

in the beginning -

The magic starts when we conduct a camera study at our studio in the suburban setting of New Carlisle, OH, at a cruise-in, a car show or a destination location of our customer's choice.

During the camera study, we create images of every ride from multiple angles.  From these images we select the best for each vehicle and start a unique digital process that both enhances the appearance of everyone's ride and places them in unique and imaginative backgrounds.  We then upload a number of proof images to the customer's private gallery on our company website for their approval.

selection -

At this point in the process, our clients have the opportunity to determine which images best portray their vision for displaying their ride.  Customization of these images is available before we go to print. Final CompositionWith approval from our client, images like this would go to print using the Chromalux Aluminum process. Stay tuned for our next installment for the advantages to printing on aluminum.
